This is the handwired radio with a mix of round top and flat top black Sylvania and silver Sylvania transistors, all the correct 2N94 and 2N35 types in the 7XT40 chassis. The serial number is 02600 out of a total of about 100,000 handwired sets made during that first year Nov. '55 to Oct. '56. This receives a couple of stations, weakly, so it's complete and could use a 'restoration'. However, these early sets should probably not be tampered with, this is one you should have to display if you don't have an early one. The case is in very good to excellent condition, one tiny, pencil point sized chip in the rear of the top left corner of the front half. No other chips, cracks or gouges. Grille has no dents.
