Description
This is a Victor Victrola VI - 1904 I purchased this in New Jersey in 1978. My receipt reads as follows: "All parts original; mahogany finish of horn and case, original and in mint condition. Metal parts are original, therefore being 14-carat triple gold - plated. I purchased this from Antique Phonographs - Floral Park, NY at a antique show in Meadowlands, NJ I am not a collector and purchased the Victrola for the absolutely beauty of it. It works as I play it often not so much now as before...... Please email me with any additional questions and I will answer to the best of my ability. I have 48 pictures of parts and the receipt from whence the VI was purchased. Please also refer to the "Question and Answer" section regarding this item! As questions and additional information come in I will post them. Thank you for your consideration and a a "fabulousostuff" kind of day! 15 1/4 x 15 1/4 x 7 3/4 Serial Number VTLA5260 As I am not a collector, but just to own this incredible machine and listen to it is unbelievable. Therefore, I will answer any and all questions and requests to the best of my ability......and will research any question in depth! As questions come in I will respond to each and every one of them; and, at the same time I will update this section to include additional pertinent information as a result of your questions! Comments that I have received are as follows: #1 Brake may have been changed - the Victor VI has a bullet brake! #2 Serial Number/Tag is not the original that belongs with this machine (refer to questions and answers)! Thank you for your consideration - This belongs to a true collector! On Jul-08-08 at 14:31:02 PDT, seller added the following information:In the Question and Answer section regarding the Victor VI - I am advised that, in particular, the "gold" pieces look as if they have been spray painted and an expert would know, to include the turntable. He also stated that the elbow look spray painted. Therefore, please refer to the question and answer section for additional information. Remember that I did buy this piece from a "Phonograph Dealer" who very well could have restored, rebuilt, painted........using various parts from other Victors....... Thank you for all your information, questions and comments..... "fabulousostuff"
