On the back of the frog is the phrase "I CROAK FOR THE JACKSON WAGON".  Some poeple that that this referred to Andrew Jackson's 1840's Presidential camgain, but is actually an advertising premium for a wagon company located in Jackson, Michigan, and it was produced in the 1880's.  They were usually in cast iron, which makes this brass version rare.
