***Superb Vintage HMV LITTLE NIPPER Bakelite Valve Radio*** this superb HMV valve radio is in excellent used condition & is simply the most stunning example of this classic model you will see rare & simply breathtaking starburst like mottled brown bakelite case eyecatching centre mounted glass tuning with red & white print station ids classic & very appealing streamlined design & styling superb & amazing rich colours original bakelite knobs...contrasting embossed gold speaker cloth...& beautifully embossed with the famous HMV logo not in full working order ( see below ) a totally superb example of this classic & very attractive radio...don't miss out...you will never find one better measuring...31cm long...20cm high...14cm wide ( approx ) PLEASE NOTE...before listing i plugged the radio in & switched it on...the dial & valves inside all lit up... i was able to hear humming, static & some faint stations which faded in/out but was unable to tune any stations perfectly...therefore the radio is NOT in full working order & is sold "as is" & requiring electronic restoration... the internals do however appear all clean & complete & an overhaul by a professional service person would see working order easily restored CONDITION...the radio is in excellent condition...it appears complete with the dial...tuning knobs...speaker cloth...cord & plug all present & in excellent condition. the case is excellent for its age...& i believe at some stage of its life it may have been professionally serviced/cleaned...it has no chips, cracks or repairs & the stunning mottled brown bakelite retains its original beautiful soft lustre... overall this radio displays just superb & would be perfect feature in any room or valuable addition to any collection...this model is featured on pages 192 - 195 of the new & exciting book on bakelite radios "RADIO DAYS" ( which is shown in picture 12 & not included in this auction but can be purchased simply by checking out my other items! please read below for more details) ......................................................................"Radio Days"......................................................................
