Western Electric Bell System 3 slot 181/ 233 G payphone Start Price USD 49.99 Current Price USD 294.79 Time Left - Bid Count 8 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, August 18, 2008 End Time Saturday, August 23, 2008 Location Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania See more about 'Western Electric Bell System 3 slot 181/ 233 G payphone' Description Old Western Electric Bell System 3 slot payphone ...this has a wooden backboard that was attached to the phone...the wooden backboard must have been cracked / broken  when installed but was glued back together...can see in pics.. the 3 slot payphone base is marked  181G   and inside marked  1-47 (  January 1947..) ..also has the F4 handset with straight receiver cord that has frayed near handle..the dial mechanism will not dial normally ..dial is real stiff and seems broken inside...maybe need a new dial...the dial upper housing is marked 233 GL and has a date 7-65  July 1965 ..paint on outside of phone is flaking..the coin box door ( heavy ) has the lock ( marked Western Electric 29a-16 ) ..but no key..no keys to phone ( upper housing is also Western Electric lock needs a  10G key..( available on ebay )...but can open by removing rear screws..nice old payphone  except for the dial problem  ......also there is no coin box ..no packing / handling fees here !! only shipping fee of buyer choice..thank you for looking..
