Description
Contact me first if you have less than 5 bids before bidding. I combine shipping where possible to save money for you. Wow, what a book! What a rare book too! Just take a look at the pictures...and this book has many more. You are bidding on one of the coolest of all vintage early tube radio books on planet Earth, especially if you are a Western Electric fan. Coming to us from 1924, this HARDBACK book is in very nice condition, and has 334 pages on the subject of Radio Reception, and it is one of the very best of all such books, which is why people don't turn loose of them often, and why this is the first one I have seen in five years. It is also in really nice shape, just a couple of names of previous owners in the front pages, but no underlining or notes, just a very clean book. This is just full of great pictures and great early gear, especially Western Electric gear, and Leutz radio gear, plus Pliodyne Receivers, many vintage tube radio circuits. Golden-Leutz Pliodyne 6 is shown, lots of cool vintage test equipment, batteries, parts, accessories and more! A nice chapter on Transmitting Equipment, including shots of studios in KGY and KGO. Great Western Electric transmitters....Western Electric microphones....Western Electric Amplifier Panels...100 watt Radiophone, plus WEco tube specs for 50 watt power tube, 250 watt power tube, 7-A amplifier seen from the back, WEco Type 10-D loudspeaker. Western Electric Type 4B Super Heterodyne, with schematic! Front and rear view! Lots and lots about Super heterodyne...lots of great pictures of early 1920's radio sets with WEco 10D speakers. That is a recap, here are the 7 chapters: 1. Regenerative Receivers 2. Super-Heterodyne Receivers 3. Adapters and Attachments 4. Pliodyne Receivers 5. Laboratory Equipment 6. Transmitting Equipment 7. General Data So much greatness, this might be the best ever for having ultra-cool pictures or ultra-cool early 1920's gear...with plenty of Western Electric gear. The book is hardbound, a 1924 First Edition, and in very nice shape. I combine shipping if you buy more than one thing! I'd rather you save the money than give it to the post office. Check my auctions for many, many great books about 1) Tubes and Tube Electronics; 2) Tube Pro Audio Gear; 3) Western Electric and RCA gear; 4) and everything else that has to do with tubes and electronics! Shipping is $4.80 for Air in the USA, or $12 via Air overseas....$10 to Canada. Check my auctions for great items like this! No Reserve! Check, money order or my favorite, Paypal. Not responsible for items once they leave here...but they make it 99.5% of the time! But if it gets lost, it ain't my fault! All sales final unless I misdescribe something. Overseas is fine. Check my feedback, the buyers are happy. For what it is worth, I have owned a vintage, tube based analogue 24-track studio for over 20 years...and yes, the vintage, tube and discrete electronics DOES sound much better than anything else! Learn all you can about vintage tube gear, it keeps going up in value!
