Features Oak veneered wooden cabinet. LW/MW/SW/FM bands. FM frequency range 87-100 Mhz. Tubes: ECC85, ECH81, EF85, EABC80, EM84, EL84, EZ81. 'Magic band' fluorescent tuning indicator. Built-in ferroceptor antenna for AM and dipole for FM; extensions for external AM and FM antennas. The ferroceptor can be rotated for best reception, using a lever at the back. Inputs for pickup (recordplayer) and tape (could also be used to hook up a CD player, MP3 player etc.). Tone control knob with 'orchestra conductor' pictorial indicator; three tone control pushbutton presets (bass, concert, solo). Mains voltage 110-125/220-240 Volts.Surprise! The top panel is hinged and can be lifted to reveal a compartment that once contained a small record player (no longer there). The compartment could now be used to store documents, magazines etc. Another idea would be to build a CD player or MP3 player into the compartment and play it through the radio - great fun!Item Condition Attractive collectable in nice condition for its age with traces of use and wear, cf. pictures. There is some discolouration to the oak veneer, esp. on the right side panel; not too obvious (cf. picture). The top compartment is empty. Technical condition: plays very well on all wavebands; good sound quality, a pleasure to listen to. The 'magic band' tuning indicator still has its full brightness. This radio should work well in other parts of the world, too; reception conditions and antenna requirements may vary. Dimensions ca. 46.5 x 29 x 30 centimeters; weight ca. 9.5 kilograms (unpacked).
